A Message From Our President:

As Joshua was getting ready to cross the Jordan River to enter the Promised Land, he was encouraged by God. We, too, are standing on a shore of discovery and enlightenment as we open the doors to a new website. Some of us are afraid, rather uncomfortable with the new technology, others are thrilled but through this avenue may all who visit gain a better insight of the functions of the United Baptist Woman's Missionary Union/Atlantic Baptist Women and may God be glorified.

My ABW

This area of our website is an exciting NEW addition.  Here you will find our BLOG where all sorts of interactive conversations are taking place between ladies.  To start things off, you can make suggestions on what you would like to see for topics, and Rev. Gail Whalen-Dunn will be moderating weekly devotionals.  From time-to-time an open discussion Bible Study will be given, and we encourage you to ask questions, comment and to share your experiences.

You will also find the Prayer Centre here.  At present we are training a moderator to manage this area, and we hope to have it fully active soon.  Prayer Centre is a place where ladies can post prayer requests from themselves or anonymously, for others to share and pray about.  It is also a place to post Hallelujas or answered prayers as well.  

This is also where you fill find the Member-Login tool to participate in the BLOG and to see member only content.

  • Not What I Planned

    This isn’t the way I expected my life to be. I wanted to marry at 19, have a half-dozen children, and settle into life as a wife and mother. But instead I went to work, married in my forties, and never had children. For a number of years I was hopeful that Psalm 37:4 might be for me a God-guaranteed promise: “He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
